Individual Artist Submissions
Submissions must include:
* A current résumé or curriculum vitae
* Five to ten examples of current work or work intended for exhibition
* A numbered information list indicating the year, size, and medium of each art work
* A comprehensive statement & description about the work and an exhibition proposal
* Additional support material such as reviews and catalogues, if available
* A self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish the submission returned by mail
(Canadian postage or postal money order) otherwise it may be picked up in person during regular gallery office hours
Exhibition Funding Assistance
Did you know you can receive Exhibition Assistance to assist with the cost of gallery space rental, framing, matting, transportation, equipment and more!
Local galleries can recommend you for exhibition assistance at our newly renovated gallery. All you have to do is contact the Arts Centre today to submit for a show, follow the link below and be qualified to apply and then complete the necessary OAC application.
Purpose: The program provides grants of $500 to $1,500 to assist individual artists with costs related to presenting their work in an exhibition.
Grants are made through third-party recommenders (public art galleries, artist-run centres and arts service organizations) throughout the province. Artists must apply directly to a recommender located in the zone in which they live. Approved applications are forwarded to OAC by the recommender once the decision to award a grant has been made.
Eligibility: This program is open to Ontario-based professional visual artists, craft artists and media artists who have a confirmed, upcoming public exhibition. Exhibitions in Ontario, in other Canadian provinces and in international locations are all eligible.
Deadline: The program is open from June 1, 2010 to February 11, 2011. Recommenders establish their own application deadlines for Exhibition Assistance, or may decide to accept applications on an ongoing basis. Please refer to Recommender Deadlines and Contacts (below) for further information.

Miniature Show Entry Form:
The Arts Centre accepts submissions for our open call exhibitons as well as individual submission from artists both local and abroad. The events committee reviews all applications and selects its exhibitions quarterly. Exhibitions are featured on a monthly basis and generally include a reception and/or artist talk.
The centre features two galleries totalling approximately 200 linear feet of exhibition wall space. The entire gallery has recently under gone renovations to feature a new modern look with new ceilings, floors and walls, plus a new layout, flow and design.
Event Space Rental
LAC is also available as space rental for events, meetings, and other occasions.
